At Natural Veneers we offer a wide range of Natural woods in which Flutes can be manufactured namely White Oak, Walnut, Teak, Red Oak, Sapeli, Ash and many more species, additionally flutes can be manufactured in Smoke items and also Dyed items.

We also provide an extensive selection of shades in our Hybrid (Recon) collection, in which fluted designs are available as well.

Our standard fluted panel sizes are 8×4 ft., 10×4 ft. and 12x4 ft. (based on availability) which are ideal for most wall and furniture applications.

No. Fluted panels made with natural veneer and wood-based substrates (like MDF or plywood) are not recommended for high-moisture or wet areas such as bathrooms or exterior facades. Avoid direct sunlight & indoor use is strongly advised.
Yes, there is a difference:
  • Ply Back → Rigid, durable, used for flat installations
  • Fleece Back → Flexible, thinner, allows limited bending on-site (with care)
Thickness:
  • With Ply back: approx. 10–11 mm total thickness generally (For higher thickness designs / multilayered flutes it will be more based on design / layers)
  • With Paper (fleece) back: approx. 5–6 mm total thickness generally
Both variants offer the same premium veneer surface but cater to different installation needs.
Fluted panels require polishing / staining to match your interior theme except for few options which are pre-finished especially in colored range.
No, fluted veneer panels are not completely waterproof. They are made using natural wood veneers pressed on substrates such as MDF or plywood, which are moisture-resistant but not suitable for direct exposure to water.
Yes, being made of real wood veneers and backed with ply/paper/mdf, they offer durability. However, like all wooden products, they should be protected from prolonged moisture exposure / sunlight and maintained well.
  • Can be fixed on plywood base / framework / MDF using adhesives and fasteners and headless nails / concealed screws as required.
  • For ceilings or curves, proper sub-structure and installation care are required.
Things to take care:
  • Not suitable for exterior use or continuous high-moisture areas.
  • Curvature possible only up to certain limits.
  • Being natural veneer, color and grain variation is inherent and not considered a defect.
  • No Nailing or Sanding on Pre-finished material.
  • For Flutes with fleece back, due care to be taken during installation.
  • Always use high-quality polish or stain from reputed brands, under the guidance of contractors or designers.
