Marine plywood is used in
construction, repair and maintenance of marine and river
crafts, pontoons, building industry and alike. The Plywood
is required to withstand rigorous conditions of changes in
temperature, humidity and alternate wetting and drying.
The plywood is also built to withstand attack by marine
organisms. The plywood is given permanent preservative
treatment by a pressure impregnation plant with a minimum
retention of 12 kg/m3 of copper-chrome-arsenic compositions as
specified in IS:5539-1969.
